Bargaining Update- July 2nd

Thank you for your response to the survey.  The survey results were very helpful in creating our initial proposal. The initial proposal was given to the city bargaining team on Monday June, 16.  This proposal included many of the areas that the membership wanted to address.

Since that time a great deal of discussion with the city has taken place and nine tenative agreements on specific articles have been signed.  Issues and areas of concern will continue to be discussed moving forward and the end contract submitted to the membership for vote will look drastically different than the initial proposal. If you are interested in seeing the initial proposal, please come to the monthly meeting next Tuesday July 8th @1300 or contact your VP to make arrangements.
